series double-row spherical
- these bearings have high static and dynamic radial load capacity
- accommodate excessive angular misalignment (from installation or
shaft deflection)
most common housings are split pillow blocks of SAF or SD
type
- available in gray iron, ductile iron or steel
- Triple labyrinth (LER) seals are standard for these types of housings
- taconite type auxiliary seals are recommended where extreme contamination
(especially small abrasive particles) threatens to penetrate inside the housing and cause
bearing failure
