End Engineered
Class Pulleys |
- these designs eliminate some of
the acute deficiencies of other designs
1) dynamic stress
analysis
optimizes final
geometry
minimizes
stress concentrations and alternating stress ranges
maximizes
pulley’s life and reliability
eliminates the
cost of downtime
2) hub weld is
eliminated, the most significant cause of pulley failure
3) keyless compression fittings are used so shafts no
longer have to be keyed

End Plates (with B-LOC 112, 115) |
 |
- cast, forged or machined from a
single steel billet into a stress equalizing profile
- material is certified using
radiography, ultra-sound and/or magnetic particle inspection
- weld prep is done at adjoining rim
eliminating all end plate welding
- hub design allows use of wide,
heavy duty locking devices
-
typically used with B-LOC 112 or 115 series keyless fittings
- all 'T' end pulleys are
stress relieved, finish machined and balanced to precise
tolerances
- recommended for belt tensions that
exceed 50,000 lbf
